Description: The delivery of services at the first point of contact with the health system by two or more different stakeholders (primary care, behavioral health) working together in a partnership that promotes improved patient care, reduced stigma of mental health, improved integration of care, and improves training of both primary care and psychiatrists. This presentation describes integrated care so that the physician or psychiatrists is better able to treat the person's physical and mental well being.
Learning Objectives: • Describe the case for collaborative models in health care. • Describe types of collaborative models. • Discuss limitations and opportunities of collaboration.
